People suffering under Leicester lockdown offered support by new City Council helpline

By Erik Dawson

Leicester City Council is offering support to anybody struggling with lockdown after Leicestershire was placed into tier three restrictions yesterday (DEC 02).

Leicestershire is included in the list of regions placed in tier three, the highest level of restrictions.

The restrictions will be no surprise to residents of Leicester, who have been in the highest category of restrictions for more than 150 days.

The ban on meeting people outside your ‘bubble’ has raised concerns about isolation, especially for those living alone or without a substantial bubble.

The city council is offering a support helpline to those struggling, which can be reached by sending your contact details to c19support@leicester.gov.uk, and somebody will be in touch shortly after.
