Fleckney Fish Bar asks for food donations to support Leicester charity

By Adam Dutton

A fish and chip shop in a Leicestershire village has started food donations for Leicester-based charity Open Hands Trust.

The Fleckney Fish Bar in Fleckney is aiming to provide underprivileged children and adults from disadvantaged backgrounds some food-based treats this Christmas.

The team there have highlighted the increased need for these kinds of donations after the impact that the current pandemic has had.

Open Hands Trust is a Leicester-based charity which specialises in helping individuals in difficult circumstances.

Its main forms of help are through food banks and food provisions, providing cheap furniture to those in low income households and mental health support.

More information about the Fleckney Fish Bar food donations can be found on its Facebook page.
