Police uncovered a huge cannabis farm in a former bar in Leicester on Tuesday(NOV17).
Officers received a tip off and raided the premises of the former Sumo Bar in Braunstone Gate.
A Leicestershire Police spokeswoman said: “More than 1,500 cannabis plants have been recovered from a premises in Braunstone Gate, Leicester.”
Sergeant Joe Postlethwaite from City Centre Neighbourhood Policing Area (NPA), appealed for help from the public to identify the growers.
“No arrests have been made.”
The police said they will be carrying out operations like this to alert any businesses owners of premise misuse.
