Popular Canadian café and bakery chain Tim Hortons has opened its new Leicester restaurant.
This new restaurant, which opened on November 28 is its largest in the UK to date, spanning three floors with more than 150 seats inside.
Located in the East Gates unit which was recently rented by designer clothing brand Cruise, this is a prime location on the Leicester High Street.
The first 100 customers through the door at the new restaurant were promised an early Christmas gift of a free lunch combo meal to celebrate the opening; featuring a Tims Crispy Chicken Sandwich, or any Grilled Wrap, with a side of potato wedges and a small drink free of charge.
As an added bonus, the first customer to enter the Tim Hortons on launch day was to receive a special VIP card that allowed them to claim two free drinks every day for a whole year.
The first UK Tim Hortons opened in June 2017, in Glasgow, with customers travelling across the country to queue overnight for the chance to sample the brand’s famed coffee and baked goods.
Since then a further 21 restaurants have opened across the country in places such as Birmingham, Cardiff and Belfast.
