Leicester City Council has announced that a number of Christmas attractions will be set up around the city.
The main attraction of the Christmas celebration is Jubilee Square ice rink, which is to be “50% bigger than last year”, with real ice and a clear roof so you can skate whatever the weather.
The Christmas attractions will also include the city’s giant Christmas tree next to the clock tower, the Christmas fair at Humberstone Gate West, as well as an Alice in Wonderland themed tableau with a traditional scene.
The city will also see the return of the Christmas Wheel of Light in Jubilee Square, and also gives the young a chance to meet Santa at New Market Square.
Shops will also be kept open late throughout December, and there is also extended park-and-ride to and from the city to allow access to even more shops for even longer.
