A Leicester student saved an injured squirrel’s life last Tuesday, when she found the wild animal paralysed near Narborough Road.

The 21-year-old business marketing student, Nirali Patel, rushed the squirrel to a nearby veterinary centre after finding the vulnerable animal “clutching on to life.”
A male vet, who took the squirrel off Nirali’s hands, said: “She did the right thing bringing him in, the squirrel will be okay here.”
Watch the video interview above, which details how she acted quickly to save her new furry friend.
