Had a stressful week? Need to relax and forget your worries? Have a sweet tooth? Well Willy Wonka himself would be jealous of the size of desserts on offer at this new place of pleasure.

The House of Desserts resturant in Allandale Road, Stoneygate, has introduced the first á la carte menu for vegan dessert lovers in Leicester and at the same time has launched a massive one-foot tall dessert.

It is called the Breakfast of Champions and is available until the end of April. It consists of Lucky Charms, homemade vanilla ice cream, chocolate covered waffle, doughnut and a Twinkie; it is a dessert that is turning heads.

Yogi Bali, the co-owner of the dessert parlour, said: “We as a family love chocolate, love desserts, we are really big foodies and so we wanted to make the wildest desserts possible and have a fun family place with a bit of class and style to go along with lovely excellent homemade desserts, and I think we have achieved what we wanted to by creating House of Desserts.”

Set up by Yogi and his two brothers, the restaurant is a new way of treating yourself. It is a place to relax, you can play Scrabble, Connect 4 and other board games, that the whole family can enjoy. You can also order your desserts using an Amazon Fire tablet.

If that was not good enough, you can also have the desserts delivered to your home by Just Eat, making it the first vegan friendly dessert parlor to offer home delivery in Leicester.

House of Desserts is open most days from 3pm and all the information can be found on their website at houseofdesserts.co.uk.
