Temporary ice skating rink to come to Leicester

By Rhys Shipman

An ice rink will be installed in Leicester’s Jubilee Square on December 8 for a month.

The rink, which measures 35 meters by 15 meters, is expected to attract thousands of visitors over the month it is running.

This follows on from the council’s £50,000 purchase of new decorations for this year’s Christmas festivities in the city to accompany the spectacular ice rink.

The Leicester Christmas lights will be switched on on November 23 with many activities and acts of entertainment planned to celebrate the evening.
