DMU student wins big with national television award

A second year De Montfort University (DMU) student has won Best On-Screen Female awarded by the National Student Television Association (NaSTA).

Lydia George, a Media Production student was given the award at the University of Birmingham in April.

The awards take place annually and aim to showcase the talent in student television, ranging from comedy shows, news and current affairs, scripting, on-screen talent, station marketing, animation and post-production.

Lydia wasn’t the only DMU student to win on the night with the Station Manager, Jonny Norton winning best title sequence and Charlie Burt winning Best Animation and Best Production
