Police are appealing for witnesses that might lead to the capture of two suspects that assaulted and robbed a van driver.
The incident occurred on Wednesday 23 November at 5.30pm on University Road, Leicester in which a cash in transit driver was robbed of a large sum of money.
The driver also suffered a head injury, and although believed not to be serious, did require hospital treatment.
Two men suspected of the crime made their escape following their despicable actions in a blue Vauxhall Corsa which was then abandoned in Victoria Park, before switching to a silver vehicle, possibly a Volvo Estate.
The getaway car then drove towards the direction of Welford Road.
Detective Inspector Chris Baker said: “If you were in the area please have a think and try to recall if you have any information which could help us. If you were in the area and have a dash cam, please check them, [we are] looking for a silver Volvo Estate and a blue Vauxhall Corsa.”
Anybody with information that could help lead to the arrest of the suspects should call 101 quoting crime number 382915.
