Cyclist injured on busy Leicester road

Mikey Shine, a Leicester citizen, was thrown off his bike on London Road early last week.

“I was cycling past the Lansdowne pub, and a car parked on the left-hand side opened its doors without looking so I went flying. It’s so dangerous for drivers not to look before getting out.”

Mr Shine was not seriously injured, escaping with a broken finger and sprained ankle. Unfortunately Mr Shine’s occupation is a guitar tutor and he is now unable to work until his broken finger has fully healed.

‘Luckily it’s half-term so the children are away, but I still have to wait for the cast to come off which is frustrating.’
