Trains to and from Leicester were affected by delays of an hour Saturday October 11 as a trespasser was found on the tracks.
East Midlands Train services to Sheffield and London St Pancras were amongst those delayed and cancelled. Their Twitter informed customers: “#EMTUpdate: Services continue to be affected by earlier incident at #Leicester.”
Passenger Nicola Granby, 60, said: “This is the second time in two weeks my train has been delayed, EMT should look at more protection around the track.”
Paramedics were at the scene but no information was given about the trespasser, whilst delays continued into the evening.
