FPL managers left with heads in hands after Vardy transfers backfire

By Oliver Taylor

Fantasy Premier League players were left with their heads in their hands after Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy only provided a single assist in the Foxes’ disappointing 2-1 home loss to Fulham on Monday (NOV30).

Vardy was the second highest transferred in player ahead of Gameweek 10, with some 393,000 managers looking to capitalise on Leicester’s appealing match-up against Fulham. He was also made captain by more than one million FPL players.

Instead, Vardy rewarded his new owners with only five points for registering an assist and playing all 90 minutes.

It was the second consecutive loss for Leicester in the Premier League without a goal from Vardy. The Foxes lost 3-0 to Liverpool on November 22.

Vardy will look to regain his goal-scoring form against Sheffield United on Sunday.
