Video report by Shukri Bashir
Universities around the UK are struggling.
With the decline of international students and alternative routes to higher education becoming a lot more common, universities are being forced to cut down heavily due to lack of funding.
Institutions in Leicester are being badly affected by this. The University of Leicester has cut down eight courses including modern languages and geography, while De Montfort University has also recently gone through the process of making staff redundant.
Our reporter, Shukri Bashir finds out how students are feeling about these issues.
