Video report by Jemimah Nakiwu

March 2026 marks the 12th anniversary of King Richard III’s reinterment at Leicester Cathedral along with new technological displays of his likeness.

Events are being held to mark 11 years since the ‘car park king’ was transported to his final resting place on March 26, 2015.

Despite his reputation, King Richard was a strong, active ruler. He introduced the concept of bail, protected lower class citizens from corruption and passed laws ensuring fairer, faster justice.
