They’re the songs we all sung, screamed and shouted in assembly – and after stirring up the nation with primary school bangers on his spring tour of the UK, TikTok sensation James B Partridge will be back for an encore, writes Haris Khawaja.
If you missed his show at Leicester’s De Montfort Hall last November, or you’re simply eager for more singalong nostalgia, the music teacher turned unlikely Glastonbury crowdpleaser returns to Leicestershire in the autumn with a performance at Loughborough Town Hall on September 17.
In total he’s announced 10 new dates to reprise his tour which begins in Gateshead tomorrow (March 14).
The show promises playground-era hit after hit from our jam-smeared, knee-scraped days of shorts and pigtails, with Partridge previously sending his audience spinning back in time with tunes like He’s Got the Whole World in His Hands, This Little Light of Mine, Give Me Oil in My Lamp and Kumbaya.
“It’s like a school assembly, but you’re drunk!” says one of the giddy audience quotes on his website.
