The owner of Leicester vintage 90s and 2000s clothing brand Cherry Laces is juggling studying for her finals with keeping her business ticking along.
Fiza Chowdhury started Cherry Laces in August and held its first pop up stall in September in Leicester.

She said: “I always have been juggling multiple projects at once, I’m often tired and don’t socialise as much as my peers.”
Fiza uses Vinted as a temporary platform to showcase her 90s to 2000s clothes while she is creating an official website for her business.
“Vinted is a platform mainly used for bargaining,” she said, “which is why I am drifting away from it. I find these pieces and that is why I have set prices as it takes a lot of time.”
She added: “It is all curated items picked with love.”
Having a fashion business has allowed Fiza to self-express her personality.
She said: “My passion and hope keep me going. I like to think with the hard work and determination I have, I will feel the fruits of my labour sooner or later.”
She added: “I am working on things slowly, especially in a time where everything is still fast paced with instant gratification. I just really want to bask in the process.”
To the business, fashion is not just a piece of clothing, she said, but a tool to help discover new parts to add to an individual and become more comfortable within themselves.
