Marketing manager wants lettings agency Sulets to stay number 1 in Leicester

The marketing manager of the organisation which helps students at De Montfort University find places to live is aiming to make his workplace the number one brand in Leicester.

David Holmes is a senior digital marketing manager at Sulets, the non-profit lettings agency which supports students at both of Leicester’s universities. 

“I am responsible for all marketing activity both digital and offline aimed at positioning the brand as the #1 student accommodation provider in Leicester,” he said.

“This includes driving engagement, maximising partnerships, growing brand awareness, and generating sales leads through a variety of channels covering the full marketing mix.”

He said Sulets’ mission is to raise standards in accommodation for the students of Leicester. 

David believes to stay number one they must raise standards in student housing in Leicester by operating a code of standards to improve the quality and safety. 

On its website, Sulets says its mission is also to be honest, transparent and fair in its actions to enhance the student experience.

David has had this role as Digital Marketing Manager for three years and is part of the senior management team. He drives and oversees the digital strategy in promoting and marketing 2,500 student beds targeting a Generation Z student audience. 

He is also responsible for all marketing activity both digital and offline. 

“I have a degree and am also a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and completed the CIM Level 6 Diploma in Professional Marketing,” he added.

The skills required in daily work as a digital marketing manager consist of mostly digital marketing skills and expertise, web development, project and event planning and managing external and internal relationships.
