Popular bubble tea store Bubbleology is to open its first branch in Leicester on the lower floor at the Highcross shopping centre.

According to the company’s official Instagram account, a date has not yet been revealed but it urged people to “keep an eye out on our socials for the official announcement of the opening details.”

Bubbleology has many branches all over the country, including in Nottingham, Bristol, Edinburgh, Manchester and London.

The first branch opened in London’s Soho in April 2011.

According to Bubbleology, its drinks are made with freshly-brewed organic tea which it says makes them quite different to other bubble tea stores, plus it has organic plant-based milk options and real fruit flavours.

It also says it uses Soil Association-approved organic tea leaves and that its teas are all 100 per cent vegetarian.

The company says it is also on a key mission (Social Responsibility) where it wants to give back to the wider community to those who do not have access to clean water. It has an ongoing programme to work with charitable organisations that build clean freshwater wells for such communities.
