Brave volunteers are being urged to sign up for a firewalk on Saturday, April 2, in Ibstock, Leicestershire.
It will be a charity-organised event and all money raised will be used to make children’s wishes come true.
Wishes for Kids, the charity behind the event, is planning to transform the currently irregular event into a bi-annual one, each time in a different place within Leicestershire, according to Paula Weight McAllister, a volunteer and mother of a child supported by the charity.
“The event has been advertised locally using posters, social media and and Just Giving pages,” she said.
“All money raised goes directly to the Wish children and does get allocated to a specific wish or wishes so ‘yes’ we can always say which wishes the money has paid for.”
The event in 2022 will be held at Ibstock Cricket Club, 90 Melbourne Road, Ibstock, LE67 6 NN. Registration will be from 5.30pm, training half an hour later, with the proper event starting at 7pm.
