A singing teacher in Leicestershire is planning to bring the joy of music deeper into the souls of people of all ages by launching vocal training courses and choirs.
Ruby Jade, 27, will run three different classes in Syston and Leicester Forest East, offering an adult choir, an after-school club and a parent/baby sensory session.
Ruby hopes her classes will be a great way for people to make new friends and provide people with an extra, safe activity to do communities we slowly ease out of the pandemic.
Ruby said: “I’m really excited to finally launch my new business with the singing classes in April.
“The adult choir will not be a traditional choir by any means. It is all about doing something you enjoy and having lots of fun.
“We will be singing a wide range of genres from Bon Jovi to Queen and Abba to Ed Sheeran.”
In addition to the courses, Ruby will also be offering one-to-one vocal training sessions which can be held either in person or online.
Ruby is an experienced vocal coach and has a passion for music that started when she was just three years old.
Having taken music at college, she went on to study a professional musicianship course at the British Institute of Modern Music in Manchester and has since travelled to various parts of the world to sing.
Ruby added: “When Iockdown started, I decided to get myself back into my teaching and do some of my classes on Zoom.
“I’ve noticed that since we came out of lockdown there is not much going on.
“I thought to myself that there is no better way to get people back socialising again than to introduce some classes to the area.”
