A consultation opened by Leicester City Council to try and improve housing standards within the private renting sector is to close very soon.
Members of the public have until tomorrow (TUE, FEB22) to have their say on Leicester City Council’s proposed Private Renting Sector Strategy which aims to give the council more capacity to protect the rights of tenants.
The council hope that the strategy will improve dialogue between tenants and landlords which will in turn raise the standards of housing in the sector.
The consultation comes at a time of rocketing house prices across the country which subsequently means more people have no choice but to privately rent.
