Leicestershire Police and Crime Commissioner vote rescheduled

The 2020 Police and Crime Commissioner election has been rescheduled to take place a year late in May.

The Covid-19 pandemic meant the election was cancelled last year, but it has now been deemed safe to go ahead on Thursday, May 6, along with council elections all over the country.

Voters willing to post their ballot should apply as soon as possible to ensure their application is processed early.

People willing to vote in person will be required to wear a face covering and hand sanitiser will be provided, and Electoral Services are allowing voters to bring their own pencil or pen if they wish.
