THE GENERATOR: The venue that will host the audio visual experience this Friday.

Leicestershire-based event organiser Dub Boro Events (DBE) will be hosting an online audio and visual experience, titled ‘Generator’, in aid of the mental health charity Mind tomorrow(FRI,NOV20).

The livestream will take place in one of Loughborough’s most historic buildings inside the School of Art and Design at Loughborough University.

DBE founder Pasquale Chiavetta said: “We’re embarking on an audio-visual adventure in one of Loughborough’s most historic buildings.

“The Generator building started life as ‘Loughborough College of Technology,’ supplying power to nearby buildings via two salvaged WW2 German Warship diesel engines.”

DBE are best known for their multi-genre mid-week events in their hometown of Loughborough, but with Covid-19 restrictions putting parties on hold the organisers have turned their efforts to raising money for charity.

Pasquale said: “We’re very aware that these times are particularly tough. It’s super important to make everyone aware that there are people out there to help guide us through these times mentally.

“We’re forever grateful to ‘Our Neighbourhood’ and ‘Charnwood Arts’ for giving us the keys to this one-of-a-kind space for us to create our interactive audio-visual experience.”

In the mix: DBE Resident DJ’s previewing their performances.

A selection of DBE resident DJs will be performing throughout the night, while the visual elements of the experience will be provided by Swettham and bx404.

Viewers will be encouraged to donate to Mind, the mental health charity through DBE’s own fundraising link.

“Mind is a nationwide charity that does wonderful things for those in need. Recent events have seen them stretched and we urge anyone with spare change to donate to this great charity,” said Pasquale.

The livestream will be running from 8pm until 1am, and can be watched from the DBE website, as well as their own Twitch, YouTube, Instagram and Facebook pages.
