The Magazine building on De Montfort University campus will be undergoing restoration works to improve the drainage systems, repair the stonework, and clean the original stone of accumulated debris.
The works will begin on Monday (26 OCT), and will carry on until March 2021.
There will be an overnight closure on one lane of Oxford Street from 9pm on Wednesday (28 OCT), to 6am on Thursday (29 OCT).
The Magazine was constructed around 1400, and is now a Grade-I listed landmark, that is only opened to the public on certain occasions organised by the Leicester Museum Service.
