National ‘Wear a Hat’ Day returns for 2020

By Thomas Carter

After the success of previous years, National ‘Wear a Hat Day’ is set to return on Friday 27th March 2020 for another period of fundraising.

Taking place every year in the month of March, the day seeks to raise awareness for brain tumour research, an issue that affects millions across the world.

On this day, people are encouraged to show their support for the cause by (self-explanatorily) wearing a hat, providing a great opportunity for society to come together in aid of a brilliant charity.

‘Wear a Hat Day’ has seen those from all over the country in workplaces, schools and local shops getting kitted out in creative headwear, and DMU students are encouraged to do the same.

According to the Brain Tumour Research Organisation, this year’s day is set to be the “biggest, boldest and HATTIEST yet”, as people join forces in order to get closer to finding a cure for the cancer.
