A second case of coronavirus was confirmed in Leicestershire yesterday(MonMARCH9).
Public Health England was in the process of contacting those close to the second confirmed case.
Despite two cases of the virus being announced since Saturday, Mike Sandys, the director for public health for Leicestershire County Council, said the risk of infection to the public ‘remains low’.
In the surrounding areas, there have been four confirmed cases of the illness in Derbyshire, and five in Nottinghamshire.
