Van Gogh’s work comes to Leicester church

By Molly Kerridge

A disused church in Leicester has become home to a projection of Van Gogh’s greatest works.

More than 200 animated paintings from the artist will be shown on the walls and ceiling of All Saints Church, in Highcross Street.

It hopes to allow fans of Van Gogh to step inside his work in an immersive display that lasts 35 minutes.

The church had been unused since the 1980s, and was refurbished into an arts centre a few years ago by the Churches Conservation Trust.

The display will run until May 5, and Leicester is the fourth city to host the event after Naples, Brussels and York.
