The SheBelieves Cup returns this March, and England’s Lionesses are aiming to defend their title.
The tournament will take place with three double header events in three different venues, with the campaign labelling this year’s tournament “the most expansive competition yet.”
The competition last year saw England come away champions, right before the FIFA Women’s World Cup, and also England’s Ellen White becoming all-time top goal scorer of the event, ahead of the likes of Megan Rapinoe and Alex Morgan.
The Lionesses manager Gary Neville said to the FA: “We are excited to take part in our fifth consecutive SheBelieves Cup as it is always such an exceptional competition hosting some of the best teams in the world.”
He added: “We were delighted to lift the trophy for the first time last year, and it is an achievement we hope to replicate this time around.”
The schedule for the campaign was released last week (JAN13) and sees the Lionesses take on the world champions USA in Orlando on 6th March (12:00am GMT).
This will be the first time the Lionesses have faced the world champions since their semi-final defeat last year.
The first tournament was announced in 2016, as an extension of the #SheBelieves campaign which aims to encourage women in all walks of life in the USA to achieve their dreams.
For the first three years the competition included England, France, Germany and USA.
However last year, France and Germany were not included in the event and Brazil and Japan took their place.
