Medieval extravaganza at Richard III centre

By Ollie Heppenstall

A series of events about medieval arms and armour is to take place across October half term at the King Richard III visitor centre.

You can find a medieval swordsman putting his arms and armour through its paces from October 15 to 19 and from October 29 to November 2.

Then on Saturday, October 27, Bob Woosnam-Savage of The Leeds Royal Armouries will be talking about his role in the discovery of King Richard’s remains, including identifying the weapons used to kill the king more than half a century ago.

There will also be medieval-style soup for sale in the White Boar cafe at the centre as well as biscuit decorating and battle-standard designing.

Tickets for these events are included in the admission fee itself.
