Teenager arrested in Leicester murder inquiry

A 16-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of murder and attempted murder following an incident at Ross Walk in Leicester.

Police attended the scene at around 9.15pm last night, with the ambulance service being called after reports of two people being found injured in the street.

The two people, both aged 17, were taken to hospital where one subsequently died.

Leicestershire Police this morning said the second teenager was undergoing treatment but his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

The area was still cordoned off this morning as a forensic examination took place.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have seen two teenagers in Ross Walk or has information about the events leading up to the incident.
