De Montfort University Contour Fashion course established in 1947, will enter its 8th decade of glory this year as it remains the most successful course of its kind in the country.
The world renowned course is run by Gillian Proctor, winner of the Lifetime Achievement Award at the UK Lingerie Awards 2013, and a dedicated team.
Ms Proctor co-wrote the very first lingerie book and has featured on both TV and radio as an expert, as well as having history with Armani and Karl Lagerfeld.
The university has turned out students who have gone on to work for Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, Triumph and ASOS among other huge names.
Graduates have also created their own prosperous labels over the years and continue to excel.
Contour Fashion, 70 years on.Indeed, many high quality lingerie, swimwear, leisurewear and nightwear brands feature a DMU graduate such is the success of the course.
Famous names to have worn DMU designs include Beyoncé, Paloma Faith and Rita Ora.
Throughout 2017, DMU shall be running several events to commemorate the course, details of which are expected to be announced later in the year.
The university will surely be hosting another of their renowned runway shows, which have proved to be immensely popular across social media.
