The Acapella choir of De Montfort University will be headlining a charity concert on Thursday, March 23, raising money for mental health charity MIND.
The choir, led by Hannah Huish, will be performing a number of well-known songs, and will be accompanied by a number of other performers, including the DMU Gospel Choir, the DMU student choir and Sophie Hughes as well as many more.
When asked why MIND was chosen as the charity, Hannah and fellow committee member Jake Waghorn said: “It’s all about mental health for young adults and students, and considering some people in our society have had issues with that in the past it seemed like an apt way to the community.
“We will be performing Sugar by Maroon 5, Hold Back the River by James Bay, Hooked On a Feeling by Blue Suede, and many more that will be a surprise for the night!
“We have been preparing for this since January, but we have had the idea for the concert since the start of September.”

Tickets cost £2 and are still available to purchase from the DSU website or the Students’ Union reception.
