DMU students prepare to launch new music review website

By Alex Leadbitter

A collective of DMU students are setting up their own music review e-Magazine that looks to give a new perspective on both popular and underground music.

Goatmojo is being set up by students at De Montfort University with the intention of giving fresh opinions on music that is not usually covered by more prominent music websites and magazines.

Oliver Asbury, 19,  a Journalism student and one of the founders of Goatmojo, said: “Goatmojo is comprised mainly of students. Our content is focused around what we think would appeal to them.

“We have a team of 15 at the minute but we’re always looking out for more writers and designers. We’re all huge fans of music and wanted to put our opinion out there on a platform without any bias or agenda.”

The 15-strong Goatmojo team includes both Journalism and Art students in order to give quality writing alongside a high standard of production and design.

Articles and reviews are currently being written and compiled so that the site opens with plenty of content.

Goatmojo is expected to launch in the next few weeks. Watch this space.
