Update: Missing people advice

Following reports this morning of a missing person in Leicestershire named locally as Carole Hardacre, 19, who was last seen around
6.15pm yesterday (Sunday 30 October) at her home address in Hathern.

Carol is described as 5ft 4ins tall, of slim build and has shoulder length burgundy hair. When she was last seen, Carol was wearing grey tracksuit bottoms, pink hooded top, grey Superdry jacket and beige Ugg boots.

Her family are growing increasingly concerned for her welfare and urge anyone knows where she is to contact officers.

If you have seen Carol, or know anything about her whereabouts, contact us on 101 quoting incident number 820 of 30 October.

‘Advice’

If you suspect someone you know is missing please do not hesitate to contact the police.

A spokesperson for Leicestershire Police, said: “Many people believe that the police will not treat somebody as missing until they have been missing for over 24 hours, hence do not tell us.

“The first 24 hours during an individual going missing can be vital in the search for them so please contact us as soon as you believe someone to be missing.”

The national description of a ‘missing person’ is anyone whose whereabouts cannot be established and where the circumstances are out of character or the context suggests the person may be subject of crime or risk of harm to themselves or another

You can report a missing person by ringing the police on 101 (999 in an emergency) or in person at your local police station.

Leicester man charged after fatal collision

Leicester man charged with a number of offences after a fatal collision on Fosse Road South earlier this year.

Guy Tomlinson, 37, of Norfolk Walk, Leicester, has been charged with two counts of causing death by dangerous driving, two counts of causing death by driving while uninsured and two counts of causing death by driving while unlicensed.

A Peugeot 206 which was being followed by an unmarked police car which then crashed into a Ford Lorry just before midnight.

The force of the impact pushed the Ford into the front of Snutch Convenience store.

The two passengers, David Anger and Christopher Needham, in the car were pronounced dead at the scene.

Tomlinson is due to appear before Leicester Magistrates’ Court Saturday 29 October.

 

 

Man charged following fatal collision

A man has been charged with a number of offences after a fatal collision in Fosse Road South, Leicester, earlier this year.

Guy Tomlinson, 37, of Norfolk Walk, Leicester, has been charged with two counts of causing death by dangerous driving, two counts of causing death by driving while uninsured and two counts of causing death by driving while unlicensed.

He is due to appear before Leicester Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (Saturday 29 October).

The charges relate to a fatal collision in Fosse Road South on Wednesday 9 March which resulted in the death of David Anger and Christopher Needham.

Leicester job fair attracts more than 400 jobseekers

thumbnail_img_2632Curve theatre set the stage for Leicester’s latest job fair today which saw the likes of Santander, Bodyshop and many other companies setting up stalls to look for their latest employees.

The job fair was organised by MGMT Media Ltd which has been responsible for three Leicester-based job fairs this year alone.

The fair started at 10am and accumulated more than 400 visitors when it finished around 2pm.

MGMT Media Ltd’s next job fair is set to commence on February 22, 2017.

Manager of the jobs fair, Nick White said: “It’s been a hugely successful fair, we’ve had involvement from over 15 different clientele companies and interest from the public has been absolutely phenomenal.

“It was great to see the most aspirational candidates being offered over the table jobs.”
