East Midlands Chamber are hoping for success with their jobs fair this Thursday 4th February.
The event will take place at the Leicester City Hall which is situated at 115 Charles Street, LE1 1FZ, and will be running from 3pm-7pm, it is being held by the ‘East Midlands Chamber’, a business organisation corporation who are currently the second largest chamber of commerce in the country.
Individuals looking to attend the job’s fair are being asked to book in their places, although they will also be accepting anyone who wishes to drop in for general visit. The job’s fair will include over 30 exhibitors, with Samworth Brothers, British Gas and East Midlands Airport being among the visiting exhibitors.
The fair itself is scheduled as follows:
Starting at 3:30pm there will be a featured ‘Case Study’ looking give a real life example of some of the relationships that employees and employers share.
At 4:00pm until 5:00pm the Leicester and Leicestershire Enterprise Partnership (LLEP), Connexions Leicester City and Prospects (County) will be hosting a presentation set to include two guest speakers.
The first speaker will be The Director of Inward Investment, Leicester City Council, Helen Donnellan, who will be speaking about ways of attracting more employers, jobs and opportunities into the area.
The second speaker will be Group HR Director of Mattioli Woods, Michael Crowe, who will be talking about potential opportunities in the finance industry.
By 4:15pm the event will be focusing on the food and drink industry and what will be required of employees to enter the industry and starting at 5pm the event will turn its emphasis to employability skills, with the final event commencing at 5:45pm being an Industry in Focus workshop.
