Leicester’s award-winning student accommodation celebrated its birthday in style, showcasing why it won Best Private Halls provider 2013.
CODE student accommodation celebrated it’s fourth anniversary on Friday October 10 at its Western Road site, with various fun filled activities, giving students a chance to get to know their neighbours better.
Head of Sales and Marketing Steve Stroud said: “We were really pleased with the turnout and the spirit of the students. It was great to see them all getting to know each other and having fun.”
The ‘welcome party’ was attended by over 400 students and some of Leicester’s favourite student eateries such as Domino’s Pizza, Soar Point and Bombay Bites who catered the event.
“The students, all sang ‘Happy Birthday’ with mouthfuls of delicious cake whilst staying late into the night enjoying the fantastic array of food and drink supplied by local student favourites, all to the mix of our resident DJ.
“Huge attractions at the event were the ever popular DMU Steppers & Bollywood Dancers who both put on great shows and for the more energetic there was a spectacular Bouncy Castle and Sumo Wrestling suits which gave all the students the chance to get up close and personal,” added Mr Stroud.
Student and CODE resident Jack Porter said: “I really enjoyed, it was great to have a good night at home for once instead of at the clubs.”
Amelia Edwards, from CODE, Western Road said: “I enjoyed it, I wasn’t there long as it would have been better if it wasn’t raining but it was good and there was free stuff.”
