Black History Month is showcasing why Leicester is one of the best diverse cities in the country.
University of Leicester student Juanita Chetty said: “Being from African-Caribbean ancestry, my grandparents moved to Leicester to start a new life.
“I think it is wonderful to see so many of my people and other backgrounds celebrating where they came from.
“These events have even taught me things I never knew about my heritage.”
The next main events is the Leicester Amika Choir’s 10th Anniversary at the Peepul Center on Saturday at 7:30pm tickets are £9.
