Breath test scheme begins in Loughborough

Loughborough punters need to be breathalyzed before entering pubs and clubs.

PC Mike Green, the co-ordinator for the initiative said: “The night-time economy is very important. However people need to understand that they need to drink responsibly.”

Door staff will use the breathalyzer to deny intoxicated customers entry to the venue.

The scheme will run until November 3.
